Re: Bishkek to Tashkent bus?
Hi, does anyone know if the same bus returns from Tashkent to Bishkek on a daily basis? I read from the posts above that there are 2 leaving from Bishkek at 1930 and 2200 each day and arriving to Tashkent the next morning. Am I safe to assume that they then turn around and leave Tashkent around late morning back to Bishkek on the same day? Thanks!

A perhaps helpful update. When I took the bus 26/03/19 the two times had changed to 16:50 and 23:30. The board inside the bus station where you buy tickets has the correct times, the board outside where the buses left from at the back had the old times. Hope this helps.

Hi! I'm going to Tashkent with some friends at the end of July. Do someone know what's the schedule of this bus connetion Tashkent-Bishkek on summer and if it still runs? What about the boundary? It would be a great help, thanks!

I'm in Tashkent today, and just went to the station (the one right near the Olmazor metro station) with a friend to try and book this bus for next Tuesday.destinationdutchland wrote:Does anyone have an update on the above? Am also interested in the Tashkent -> Bishkek route..

The first interesting thing we noticed is that it appears the main bus building is closed? It looks brand new though, so possibly it just hasn't opened yet. Regardless, the busses were operating out of a gravel lot next to the building, with some stands in the back selling tickets.
We went up to the Bishkek stand (they were labeled with different cities), and asked about two tickets for next Tuesday (using Google translate and notes - don't speak Uzbek or Russian). The lady operating the ticket booth told us there was a bus available on Sunday the 5th that we could take, but nothing on Monday or Tuesday.
We tried to figure out the full schedule from her, but given our limited Russian we couldn't quite piece it together. We weren't available for that bus and have to get to Bishkek by the 8th so it looks like we will either be flying or taking other busses/taxis.
So it appears that it is possible to get the bus from Tashkent to Bishkek, but your schedule might need to be a little flexible.

Re: Bishkek to Tashkent bus?
Hey guys,
I took the bus in the beginning of June, and as I understood it was going every day by then. There was one leaving Bishkek at 16:50 and one at 23:00, both from the western bus station. The price was something like 1200 som. I bought my ticket at the bus station one day in advance, which I think is a good idea, because the buses ended up being completely full. I took the earlier bus and arrived at the bus station in tashkent at something like 6 in the morning (long waiting times, especially at the Kazakh-Uzbek border). I took the same bus back a week later. From Tashkent they are leaving at 18:00 and 19:00, again from the bus station. overall it was an easy journey, no big problems on the way.
hope this helps someone!
oh, and buying the bus tickets a week in advance at the ticket office in Bishkek should be no problem. I bought my ticket from tashkent to bishkek a week in advance too.
