We were there last June.
Just to say there is a bank! ( one street going sout across the village, right side, blue "building").
We have also eat in a very small restaurant very close the "market", very cheap and good, but only one meal, no choice!

The bank does not exist anymore and there’s no electricity during the day. (6 June 2022)

Update Sary Mogul September 2022:

Tilek Guesthouse: Very nice double room and dormitory. Bathroom and shower is outside the building, but there's a very hot sauna-like shower. They can provide vegetarian food and they bake their own bread. Price was 1300.- Som per person incl. half board.

CBT Camp Tulpar Kol: Spacious yurts with 4 beds. You pay 1600.- Som per person for half board. The price is the same if it's a private yurt or if you share with others. There's a new shower block with western-style toilets, everything very clean and there's even hot shower. Food is fine. Bring your own bread though if you prefer fresh bread.

Transfers between Sary Mogul and Tulpar Kol cost around 2000 - 2500 Som for a car (with space for up to 6 people). It takes around 45 minutes. From Sary Mogul there are shared taxis for 500.- Som per person back to Osh.

We didn't have any problems with the CBT in Sary Mogul, maybe there's someone else working there now, we had a very good experience.

Thank you so much for the update!!! Super-helpful! Do you happen to know how long the camp is operating until? Hoping to make it there around 20-24th of September. Also, did you need a permit to go to the lake?? I'm hearing exact opposite info on this subject. Some say you can stay at the lake with no permit, but to hike to the traveller's pass you need one. Did you hike?

We are planning to visit Sary Mogul and Tulpar Lake in end May, exactly May 29th. How will the weather be like, will it be sunny and have a great view of the mountains and the lake? Any advise on this? How is the road lining Sary mogul and Tulpar Lake?

Thanks a lot for the information!

Regards
Stephen.

I can't predict the weather but yes, great clear weather is rather the norm.
Good paved road to Sary Moghul, dirt track to Tulpar Lake.

Sary Mogul and Tulpar Lake in late May

Post by lonelytraveller01 »

Hello, I just wonder how is the weather like when visiting Sary Mogul and Tulpar Lake in late May, will it be rainy and cloudy? What is the best time of the day to be there? Thanks!

Thanks for all the useful information provided.

I'm wondering if someone has more information on transport from Osh to Sary Mogul. What are the alternatives? Where in Osh do they depart?
