Hi all,
I'm planning a 5-week trip to the Stans in mid April, currently flying into Turkmenistan, crossing into Uzbek, which leaves me 2-3 weeks in Tajik- and Krygyz- before (probably) flying out of Bishkek.
Has anyone got any experience of travelling through the Fan mountains, Pamirs or mountain lake areas of Kyrgyz in April/May. I'm looking for some route ideas which give me some of the stunning outdoors and scenery but which are 'doable' before summer. PS I'm not looking to overland to Kashgar since I spent some time in Xinjiang last year.
