Travel between Jordan and Israel

Post by SalSalFR »

Hello guys,
I am planning a trip from north of Jordan to the south (thru the Jordan Bike Trail), then cross to Israel and go back north to take a flight to Kazakhstan.
I remember people talking about visa stamps (and that you cant cross to Israel anymore if you have a jordan stamp)and was wondering if its still the case ? A friend was telling me about it and i have some doubts now.
I thought that was no longer a problem but i prefer to make sure before to go there. As i am planning to go early April !

Cheers guys and have a nice end of the week/week end

I just travelled from Amman to Aqabat, crossed the Isreali border and flew back home from Tel Aviv.

I did get a Jordan stamp but could travel without any problems to Israel (as an European tourist).

The Jordan Visa is free btw with the Jordan Pass.

A Jordan stamp is not a problem for Israel.
I went with my car from Eilat / Israel to Aquaba / Jordan, never any problems. Only the insurance for my camper was for me very expensive: 100 $ for a month.
But the good thing is: Aquaba is a special FREE TRADE ZONE - this means, you get a free visa on arrival, nothing to pay for this.
All other border points you maus pay for the VOA.

I went back from Jordan, Petra, to Israel again with my car, also no problems. From Haifa, Israel, I took a cargo ship to Italy.

Last year I (a Brit) cycled Egypt -> Jordan -> Israel. I then took a coach tour back into Jordan, and then back again into Israel. All crossings were at Allenby Bridge. No problems whatsoever on any of the crossings.

I did meet an American family in Sinai who I think had had problems getting their car across the Eilat crossing, but I can't recall the details or what they might have done wrong, and suspect the problem would have been on the Egyptian side so not relevant to you.
