After Central Asia next year, I'm hoping to head across Khunjerab Pass into Pakistan, then India.
From what I can tell, an Indian evisa won't let you cross the Wagah land border, but getting a paper India visa in Lahore/Islamabad sounds like an absolute nightmare of waiting for ages.
My plan now (on a UK passport) is to get a 1 or 2 year paper Indian visa before my trip actually starts. It's more expensive but saves the hassle.
Trouble is, I can't seem to find anywhere how many entries this lets you make into India. I would like to cycle into Nepal, then back into India and finish in Bangladesh, but not sure if this double-entry is allowed.
