Day trip over the border Georgia to Azerbaijan

Hi, we would like to know if there is a way to go from Tbilisi to Azerbaijan in a day for some traditional Azeri lunch.
E visa are very easy and cheap for UK

on the bottom of this page, you can find some info about bus from Qax to Tbilisi:

You can also take a taxi to the closest border crossing from Tbilisi. It would take about 1 hour to that border with taxi
