Hello! I'm spending this time in lockdown mostly dreaming about future travels. Has anyone travelled much in these two Russian republics? Can you give any ideas or advice for routes to take and what to see/do? Thanks.

3 years ago we did a trip from Teberda to Verchny Baksan, the north side of Mt. Elbrus. Very nice! The gpx-file is on gaia. 8 days, 120 km. For the first part it`s better you apply a border permit (for Teberda). After the trip we stayed some days in a hotel on the south side of Mt. Elbrus, the Sky Elbrus Hotel, very comfortable and good food. And the last week we did the summit from the north side. If you have some questions...
