Caravanistan

Hi there!

I am planning to travel to Pakistan this late May, for about 15 days. Arriving in Lahore and flying back from Islamabad.
My plans are using local transportation, buses, shared taxis/jeeps, etc. But I don't know if it is feasible for some parts of this itinerary idea:

Lahore
bus to Islamabad
bus to Peshawar
bus to Chitral in the same day? Or stopover somewhere?
bus to Gilgit via Shandur in the same day? Or stopover somewhere?
bus back to Islamabad through the KKH

In addition, any special permits or police guard in any of those areas?

I just saw your post and i have a bit of similar trip plan, however, i will enter from Iran to Pakistan and then head north.

Thanks for your kind replies and sorry for my late late answer.
finally I decided to postpone the trip, mainly because ramadan. Thinking catching up for this Sept / Oct.
Maybe just to Kalash valleys and Chapursan.
Any suggestions??
