Analog filmrols in Uzbekistan

Post by Bschnock »

Hello,

We’re travelling in Uzbekistan, in Bukhara now and on our way to Khiva.

We just ran out of filmrols (24*36) and have already been to all the possible shops in Bukhara with very little success.

On our way to Kyrgyzstan, we’re stopping in Tashkent. Anyone has any idea if there’s a shop where to buy analog films in Tashkent? We might need to buy a battery too.

Thanks for the help!

Battery should not be an issue, plenty of audio/video shops, just google фототехника ташкент and translate the results.

Here are some options I found for photo shops in Tashkent that may exist/have what you want:

There's also a Fujifilm brandstore on Alisher Navoi 14, I discovered after some googling.

Hi, I can confirm the Fujifilm brand store sells film but only black and white. - Ilford hp5 and xp2.

Also, film.uz (find them on Instagram ) sell a much larger variety of film and much cheaper than the Fujifilm store.

Additionally, anyone requiring old button style batteries for light meters in analogue cameras can find them at Malika bazaar in Tashkent.
