Hi all,
I've been looking on the forum but can't find much info about this. Does anyone have any recommendations about swimming pools in Tashkent/Bukhara/Samarkand?
I know people don't travel to Uzbekistan for the pools, but since we'll be there in late August it might get very toasty and finding a good place to cool down might be worth the time.
Thank you in advance!
Swimming pool in Uzbekistan?
Re: Swimming pool in Uzbekistan?
I stayed in a couple of hotels with pools.
Grand Art in Tashkent (50 bucks a night - pool just okay)
Orient Star in Samarkand (70 bucks a night - very nice pool *pictured*, but it's in a garden, so you'll probably want to clear out the dying bees before you swim.
Watch the sun - it's vicious!

In Tashkent, we went to a water park called Akva Park. Is costs around 6€/7$ (I believe it was 60.000 som). They have a few very awesome slides and two big pools. Also a lot of stuff for children. You are only allowed in for 3,5 hours and compared to prices in Uzbekistan it is quite expensive, but it was worth it.
In Bukhara I swam in one of the old pools (the one between Khoja Kalon Mosque and the restaurant Mavrigi). Children were already swimming in it. The water was way more refreshing than it looked! And it is free:p

Namangan has an outdoor swimming pool. And a new sky opened water park in the Valley of Legends.

I believe you can pay for using the pool at Radisson Blu Tashkent. It’s a nice pool and it wasn’t very crowded this Saturday, there was a bunch of people there I haven’t seen at the hotel anyway. There’s a restaurant which is expensive but okay. My kids only want mashed potatoes so that’s just 9000 som lol.
