Hello!
We just got to Tashkent and will stay here one or two days.
After this we want to go to Kyrgyzstan to do some hiking, we read about Arslanbob and would like to go!
What is the best way to travel there?
Train Tashkent > Kokand, bus to Andijan and than..
do we have to go to Osh first? (We will be in Osh late September so no need to go there now anyways unless it is the best route).
Hopefully someone can help us out which route is best to take as well as which mode of transportation.
Thanks!
Tashkent - Arslanbob
Re: Tashkent - Arslanbob
Hi Vincels!
We went from Tashkent via Andijan a few weeks ago:
Took the train to Andijan and stayed a night, in the morning we took a taxi to the border crossing of Izboskan (but be clear and call it Madaniyat, otherwise they might think you just want to go to the region of Izboskan - look at this posting about the border: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10006&p=32104#p32104) and then got another taxi which was organized by the CBT of Arslanbob for us. CBT Arslanbob is really great, the guy who runs it (Hayat) was extremely helpful.
Have fun in Arslanbob!
