Tashkent - train station timings and tickets

Hi - I'm arriving at Tashkent at 06h10 in the morning and am looking to catch the 08h00 AFROSIYOB train to Samarkand on Saturday 24 September.

Do you think this gives me enough time to clear customs (handcarry only), change money and get a taxi from the airport to the train station?

And if so, is there any way of buying my tickets in advance through caravanistan? Since I will be heading straight from the airport to the train station I won't have the ability to collect at a hotel....

Sorry for the late reply. The airport can be a real pain in the ass and it is still some way to the train station, where you also need to check in in advance. Probably the tickets could be delivered to you at the train station or the airport, but i dont think you have enough time. I recommend to stay a day in tashkent or catch a later train.
