Hi all,
As the title suggest, the drone will be torn down into pieces rather than a whole unit as I understand that drone usage is not allowed in Uzbekistan hence it will be torn down after being used in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan where the propellers will be discarded rendering the drone non-usable upon entry into Uzbekistan via land border between Panjakent -> Samarkand.
If passed through it will be given to my tour guide who will later pass it to be in Tashkent where I fly out after heading to Turkmenistan (where possession of a drone is much worse). I am carrying a moduler screw driver with swappable tips for torx 4 and phillip.
The drone arms will be dislodged from its place with the retainer pins removed. GPS and mainboard will also be removed as these do not have a soldering joint. The only part that will remain intact is the body and motors to the ESC. I am not sure if anyone has done this before but the idea is to ensure it cannot fly and that I am really just having it passed back to me when I leave from Tashkent.
While I don't mind selling off the drone in Tajikistan for a discount given I have a dozen drones at home as I am a freelance drone repairman, I am not sure if there is a site/forum to do so.
Again I know drones are not allowed in Uzbekistan and I have no intention to fly there it at all.
I read that some people were given a declaration slip to not use it in Uzbekistan but I am not sure if this is offered at the borders.
Anyone with any input is greatly appreciated.
