Hello! We are traveling in Uzbekistan from 23 November to 6 December. We would like to grab trains and explore at our own pace but I read in the Travel Guide that trains often sell out ahead of time. Is this still true in the colder months or just for the busy tourist months? Should we book ahead? Any advice appreciated!!
Happy Exploring!

Yes, trains may sell out even in "low" season. E.g. if booking right now for tomorrow from Tashkent to Samarkand, there are a few places available on a train at 6:00 (high-speed) and low-speed trains at 14:20, 20:07, 20:55 and 21:33. All other trains (so 11 of 15) are sold out.
