Passenger customs declaration for Uzbekistan

Postby Valikhanov » Mon Mar 12, 2018 12:47 pm

Hi,

I am wondering how exactly to fill out the uzbek customs declaration.
I found a link to an english version that you can fill out in advance (link is provided by the german embassy, so it should be official):

http://old.customs.uz/en/static_pages/declaration/308/

However, I am not sure about 4. and 6.

What exactly do they mean with "baggage availability"? Could it be translated to "do you have baggage at all?"
And how precisely would you answer to 6.?
Is it only necessary to declare special goods like medicine or would you have to list every item (e. g. clothes), that you have in your suitcase?

Thank´s in advance!

(btw, the instruction claims, that it is not allowed to export bakery products from Uzbekistan; however "cookies of own production" are fine. What a tricky country :D )

You don't have to fill it in anymore since February 2018 - green corridors like in many other countries are now in use. :-)

Hi Steven,

thank you for the information, looks like caravanistan is more up to date than the German ministry of foreign affairs; at least their website about uzbekistan :)
But does your information apply for all border-crossings? While we will fly into Tashkent, we are planning to leave Uzbekistan on the train to Almaty

Yes, seems to be so for all border crossings.

Is it also true that the currency declaration has been abolished? I will be taking the train from Volgograd to Nukus this weekend and I’ve read that this particular KZ-UZ border crossing is famous for not giving out the declaration form... which gets you in trouble later. Any advice is appreciated!
