USD denomination: twenties or hundreds?

I keep reading that ATMs are few and far between in Uzbekistan.

If I have to bring USD with me, does it make a difference whether I have twenties or hundreds?

Either will work—just make sure the are as new, crisp, and without markings or rips as possible. I was there last week and they fully rejected half of my twenties for what I would call normal use wear. This was at the Tashkent train station money exchange. I did find that I was able to use some of the rejects to pay for things like my hostel (but not always, so don’t count on it).
