availabilty online traintickets 45 days before departure date and prices

Post by rietepetit »

Hallo,
Is it correct that the high speed trains are sold out online at the moment of release 45 days before departure date?
If so I will be forced to order through an agency which is much more expensive
Can someone give me the price for econmy or 2nd class tickets for
train Sharq Tashkent- Bukhara 9:13-15:09
Afrosiyob Bukhara-Samarkand 15:48-17:20
Samarkand-Urgench night train 00:28-11:02
if I buy online ?
I got the prices from the agency but would like to compare
Thanks
Riet

What date are you referring to? If the website of Uzbek Railways shows weird results, you can cross-check with pass.rzd.ru. You can also check prices there, deduct 30% to get an estimate of what it costs when bought in Uzbekistan.

Our original dates in april are postponed to middle september.
When I register on Uzbek railways I get a mail with password, a long one but it doesn't work

Many people report issues with Uzbek Railways' website, I can't help. You may have a look in this thread if someone had a similar problem viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4770

I'm using the Uzbek Railways website now to plan my upcoming trip. I haven't tried buying any tickets (I assume that doing that while in the country will be fine), but I didn't see any train being full, even the ones leaving today and tomorrow offer enough tickets.
I did use the Russian default version of the website. Maybe that's a difference?

There should be no difference between the language versions. However, It's possible that the website does not show fully-booked trains. Also, it's February, not high season at all.
