The culture of a night out for a woman?

Hi there. Basicly two questions. When a solo lady goes to a bar in Tashkent and there are two tables, one empty and one with two or four people, should she sit in the table that's empty or the one which has only one seat left. How is this going to be interpreted in Tashkent? And in Bukhara, when a woman goes out and needs an escort to ensure her safety etc, as a foreigner, should she pay to this escort or is that kind of "looking after a lady" considered to be an honourable gentleman's act, and the lady should not pay him anything?

Interesting questions. Going solo to a bar in Tashkent, you will get quite a lot of attention I can imagine, well, depending on your age. It would be odd to simply join a table of family or friends in my opinion.

I think men would be offended to be paid to take out a woman. Their duty and pleasure to show a guest a good time. If anyone asks for something like that, run away. That's not a person you can feel safe around.
