Best place for Plov in Tashkent?

Hi everyone. I hope I picked the right thread to ask this question.

So, to keep it short - my partner and I are traveling to Tashkent later this year and we'd like to try as much of the local cuisine as possible. One of the must-haves will be Plov, so we're kind of gathering info about the best places for it...

TripAdvisor's top result is the conveniently named Central Asian Plov Centre (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_ ... vince.html). I noticed that it is also recommended by this website Taste Atlas (https://www.tasteatlas.com/CentralAsianPlovCentre), so I guess it's the real deal, but I'd still like to hear other suggestions and feedback about the best place in Tashkent for Plov (and perhaps other Uzbeki dishes as well!) I think we have had Plov about twenty times in Central Asia. One of the best was at Central Asian Plov Center, as mentioned, near the Tashkent Tower. Apparently if you go early enough, you can see them cooking the plov! We went around 3pm and they were done cooking. The plov was delicious.

Steven (the admin of this page) would disagree with you. I am also planning a trip to Uzbekistan and am wondering the same question.

i tried the plov in the Central Asian Plov Center and it wasn't any special... it is cheap and the area has a atmosphere of a big canteen
