Traveling Out of Khiva

Hello everyone,

Thanks for this website and this community. A friend and I recently booked a trip. We are starting in Turkeminstan (booked a tour thanks to a recommendation from this website!) and then we are getting dropped off at the Dashoguz/Shavat border and then plan to spend a day in Khiva.

I am like many and have a hard time navigating the websites to book train travel away from Khiva (ideally to Buhkara) Our goal is to try to leave Khiva on Thursday, June 13th in the afternoon.

Does anyone have recommendations?

I just took a train from Khiva to Bukhara tonight. It left Khiva at 2:28PM and arrived at about 10:30PM>
I remember the train is on every Monday/Wednesday/Thurs/Friday.

Thanks for the response! Did you buy your ticket ahead of time or at the station? Any recommendations to ensure we get our tickets?

I just got it at the station but you can buy it online. I don’t think it’s peak season at the moment.
