Yes that is what I meant with giving the dog some shade. I think that is your most important task when the temperature goes to 40 degrees or higher.
And if you spray it's fur a couple of times I think the dog will cool down a bit as well (also due to evaparation effect)

And yeah, I'm sure many meteorologists would completely agree with you that there are so many rural areas without weather stations, and weather so variable, that Earth's all-time record high was exceeded multiple times in Kazakhstan in 2012, and exceeded by 5°C in Morocco in 2010. You should write some papers for meteorology journals!

I think the person playing professional expert is the one saying wikipedia is wrong and that we had 60°C temperatures in the last 10 years when the all-time record for Earth is 55°C.

The reality is that it gets very hot on the region. Uncomfortably (and possibly unsafely) hot. We don't need to make dumb claims about it hitting 55°C for multiple days in order to make that point, and making such false claims doesn't really help anyone (especially since it makes it difficult to evaluate everything else that person says).

The reality is that wind speed does not affect temperature.

Maybe you should try to think wider and realize that your "over scale" car sensor isn't a precision measuring device. Neither is some random thermometer that certainly wasn't designed for high temperatures. The weather station in Errachidia also isn't that far away.

I don't know what kind of arrogance it takes to believe that in the past decade you have personally witnessed multiple temperatures higher than anything officially recorded in the history of Earth, but you have it in spades.
