Trekking tour to South Inylchek glacier base camp in Kyrgyzstan

Hi everyone,

We are looking into doing a 9 to 10 day trek from At Jailoo to the South Inylchek glacier base camp starting in the first 10 days of July 2017 with a guide. We are in the process of getting some quotes with Turkestan Tour and Ak-Sai Travel and we wanted to know if anybody has a suggestion for other operators.

Has anybody done this trekking tour recently? Any comments/reviews/tips?

We are looking at this kind of itinerary:

Karakol – At-Jailoo Base Camp.
At Jailoo Camp – Iva Camp
Iva Camp – Glina camp
Camp Glina – Merzbacher Glade
Merzbacher Lake
Merzbacher Glade – Komsomolskiy Glacier
Komsomolskiy Glacier – Dikiy Glacier
Dikiy glacier – South Inylchek base camp
South Inylchek base camp
Helicopter flight to Karkara helicopter pad

Hi Amelie/fellow Canadian.
I don't have advice for you but if it's okay id like to add a question to your topic...

Permits...
I heard it takes a week to get one, does anyone know how to get a quicker permit? I also want to do this trek but I think it might be impossible for me, as of this moment I am thinking of getting a horse and a guide one way and then walking back in my own.... Probably won't work.

I'm also worried about the snow levels considering the winter Kyrgyzstan had.

If you need a third person for this trek to make things cheap you can message me, it is likely to expensive for my budget but it doesn't hurt to hear.

Don't know Turkestan Tour, Ak Sai is well-known and professional.
