Trekking from Karakol to Osh

Postby Kactus » Fri Jul 20, 2018 6:25 pm

I am planning to go from Karakol to Osh by foot in more or less one month. I saw a good route would be to get into the mountains from Tosor until Son Kol and then from Son Kol to Jalalabad through Kamarsand (not sure about the name) pass! Do you think it is a good road? I want something a bit off the beaten track to get the chance to meet locals along a scenic route... :)
Do you know if it is easy to get supply on this road? If not, I was considering to buy a donkey in Karakol (I know it's doable but my infos about the price are pretty old. ) to carry the food. Any tips?

Yes, I think that's ok. I am not a trekking expert, but there are much better roads if you are on foot. These are all big roads that have cars on them, i think it would be nicer for you to go on smaller trails for foot traffic away from cars.

Cannot advise though. Donkey around 100$?
