Does anyone know of a hostel/cheap hotel in Kashgar that accepts foreigners. I have just received notification from the hostel I booked that I cannot stay.

Old Town was crawling with foreigners last time we were there. Seemed to be just about the only option. Have you tried it?

=Hostel: There are some youth hostels in kashgar, but only 2-3 hostels can host foreigners(2018. oct. ). we used the following hostels before:
1. Kashgar Old Town Youth Hostel (喀什老城青年旅舍 )
Add: 喀什市 吾斯塘博依路233号 ，喀什市十八小学斜对面
2. Kashgar Pamir Youth hostel(喀什帕米尔青年旅舍)
Add: 喀什市 艾提尕大巴扎7区A段3层 ，近解放北路。
3. KKH Breeze Hostel 喀什市微风青年旅舍
Add: 喀什市 喀什市色满路268号康美小区6号楼（从喀什一中隔壁楼盘的巷子进入）

1. Kashi New Delhi Hotel (喀什新德商务酒店)
Add: 喀什市 克孜都维路南侧（电视台对面） ，近解放南路。
2. Tianyuan Business Hotel (喀什天缘商务酒店)
Add: 喀什市 人民东路8号 ，近解放路
3. Kashgar Seman Hotel (喀什色满宾馆)
Add: 喀什市 色满路337号 ，近人民西路。
4. Luxemon Qinibagh Hotel 喀什其尼瓦克国际酒店

Quick update on the hotels which accept foreigners in Kashgar;

- Lihao Hotel
- Hanting Hotel

- Waterside Hostel doesn't yet but will very soon (according to their staff they are "finishing formalities". It's pretty new and cosy looking and could be a great alternative to the Old Town

We're currently staying at Nuerlan Hotel (or Nurlan Hotel). We pay about 800yuan for 2 nights for 3 people. The room is super big. It's centrally located, bus nr 28 goes there (from the train station, 2 yuan)

I booked this hostel for end of August through booking.com, just got a notification saying my booking has been cancelled but no other info. Does anyone know anything about this hostel? Has it closed down? I’ve booked the Pamir youth hostel instead but interested to know if any reason especially as reports of places not accepting foreigners, hopefully the one other hostel is still open!

I think they can't accept foreigners anymore. The Maitian hotel/hostel (now trading under the "Lakeside hotel" name) was open and accepted foreigners as of earlier in July.

Assume the international chain hotel Radisson is fine too.
