Hey,
I would like to buy one or two of those fancy wok burners in china. They are not big (approx 35x35cm), but heavy - 10 kg with box. I need to send them home, since my journey goes on. Anyone here with experience how to send things from china to germany/eu and an approximation of the cost? Airmail would be preferred, so that I have a second chance in case it will stuck at customs or break on the way. I will be in Beijing the next days.
Send something rather heavy from china (beijing) to germany

A 10kg package to Germany is 315RMB by sea, 544RMB by sea/air combo, and 816RMB by air, plus some miscellaneous fees.

Only a few post offices in a city handle international shipments. Best to just ask at any post office where to go. You must take the package unopened for inspection. Post offices sell good boxes and will do wrapping for a small fee.
Expect the shipment no matter the shipping method to take much longer than you expect.

Hi, I successfully sent my gas burner with SAL (second cheapest option) using Chinapost and it arrived two weeks after in Germany. The post dude didn't want to send it because "dangerous", I had to insist multiple times on sending it on my own risk. Kitchen knives absolutely not possible. Cost was roughly 40€ for 3 kg (was lighter than I thought). Tracking worked like a charm.
