Having done a "little" of moderation on other platforms, I can fully sympathize with the mods team.

A free forum like this normally involves a lot of work, which people mostly do for free in their free time.

How would you distinguish between a new potentially spammer and a legitimate user?
Maybe the first post of a new user should be approved first? Rather than a new user registration. Just a thought.

Spam accounts and legitimate users tend to have very different user names, especially on this site (and I speak as someone who bans tons of spammers here).

It's a good point. The email address is usually a giveaway but sometimes it's not entirely clear. I am going to try your approach.

I think there's a mistranslation here. Owner probably meant заебали, which means they (the sрammers) pissed everyone off. No intention to offend the mods.

If that would be the case, then no problem. Still, pretty harsh to say it's all fucked. The spam posts were there for less than 24 hours. I know it's summer and the forum is more active, but, you know, a bit of patience never hurts.
