Hi guys,
We are currently in Trabzon but heading to Iran, and need to get euros and dollars in cash to bring with us. We're trying to figure out the most efficient way to get cash from our UK bank accounts that doesn't involve going through the local currency. We've tried going to one of those TEB/BNP Paribas cash machines that says they dispense $ and €, but they wouldn't spit out anything but lira for us.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Or do we have no choice but to withdraw in the local currency and exchange at a PTT or elsewhere?
Best way to get euros and dollars in Turkey or Georgia?

IMO probably best to just exchange some Money. Otherwise, perhaps Western Union or something similar?

Many ATMs in Georgia dispense US Greenbacks. I got 400 out with no bother in a Tbilisi supermarket this August.
