Has anyone heard of the possibility of acquiring the citizenship of any of the stans, preferably one that recognizes dual citizenship? Kyrgyzstan? Tajikistan perhaps?
Is this a possible thing for non-USSR people?

I have never heard of a Westerner succeeding, or actually even wanting, to do this. Even a residence permit is incredibly difficult. Good luck!
Georgia used to be very easy, not sure how it is now. That's your best bet if you want long-term visa-free travel in the FSU.

What about work permits? Do you perhaps have any info on that?
