Positive e-visa report:
I'm a British citizen, applied for a Tajikistan e-visa on 2 September.
On 11 September they messaged me saying: "Please attach a letter from the local travel company that invites you. You can upload it all in web-portal https://traveltajikistan.tj/travel-agencies-2/". I read the messages in this thread, and contacted Discover the Pamirs on +992 93 120 1114 who got me a letter of invitation within about 10 minutes, I paid £25 for it. Note that the link they sent me was wrong, just go to the original visa application page where you can modify your application.
On 13 September they messaged saying: "Dear applicant, please attach passport scanned copy, not photo. You can upload it in web-portal https://www.evisa.tj/index.evisa.html#/myapplication. Thanks." I scanned at the hostel and uploaded this as a jpeg.
They issued the visa on 17 September.

Re: Tajikistan E-visa Q&A
I applied the evisa on Sept 6, and Sept 19 asked me to arrange LOI (US25) , and then I uploaded. the status changed to Validation in progress. However, I filled in my arrival date is Sept 26, still waiting..
I emailed to the officer twice, the officer also replied “take more than 10 working days”…
and I msg the travel agent, she claimed that someone do the push with money and get the E visa in one day…
she can share the contact if I want. I don’t know should I wait for the response from the officer or push with MONEY …

Re: Tajikistan E-visa Q&A
Following advice from this thread, I sent an LOI alongside my initial application (I have a UK passport).
It was £20 from Discover the Pamirs (contact via WhatsApp: +992 93 120 1114).
Sent my application on 27/9 and heard back today (12/10) that it’s been approved.
This thread was a massive help (thanks!) and hope this message might be useful for someone in the future.

Re: Tajikistan E-visa Q&A
After 2 weeks run around by the eVisa service (with UK Passport), first asking for scans not photos of our passports, but send as JEPGs, then more requests for more scans, we achieved success on that requirement. We were then asked to provide our Itinerary which we submitted, and then for a more detailed itinerary, again which we provided. After that they asked for our hotel booking vouchers, which we provided, including travel vouchers. After all that we got yet another request, this time for a LOI from our travel tour company. As independent travellers we didn’t have that and no time to get something. Our application was rejected the day before we had indicated we wanted to enter Tj.
It seems that what is required to get an eVisa is up to the individual processing the application and not any defined guidance issued by Embassies or home Government. Expect to get requests for more information and expect at least 10-14 days to get a response (based on our and other comments here experiences) and not the indicated 4-days.
Long before we were rejected I had given up hope and we changed our itinerary. However I did think to check that as a dual national with an Irish Passport whether we could have entered entered with that, without a visa or eVisa. We could but it would have complicated things. That said if you have 2 passports, one as a ‘spare’, it is worth checking whether your dual nationality is one that is visa exempt (lesson learned).
My advice is that if you can get a visa before travelling from the local Tj embassy do so and don’t rely on getting an eVisa. If you are going to apply for one then do have an LOI.

Re: Tajikistan E-visa Q&A
Hi all,
British citizen. I applied for an e-visa on 18th November. On 26th November I received a follow-up message saying: “Please attach more information about your trip plan (tickets, hotel booking information and etc.) […] Moreover, please attach a petition letter/verbal note from the local travel company.”
If I hadn’t found this forum I would be a bit confused by the last part. I’ve been to all the other former Soviet Union countries (except Tajikistan and Turkmenistan), and this is the first time I’ve been asked for some kind of letter from a travel company (and I always travel independently).
So I messaged Discover The Palmirs on WhatsApp in the morning, and they got back to me in the evening; a LOI without GBAO permit for £20 was provided very swiftly.
I modified my application to include the LOI and my hotel bookings. Hopefully that will be enough. I can’t send air tickets because my travel dates are too far in advance (April 2025).

How far in advance can you apply?
Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but how far in advance of intended date of arrival is it possible to apply for an e-visa (with a British passport)? I'm planning a trip for mid June 2025 and wonder if it would be possible to apply now, as I'm reluctant to book flights without having a visa issued.
Is it still correct that an e-visa automatically includes a GBAO permit?
Also, does anybody have a contact email or whatsapp for Khudik?
Thanks very much!
Duncan

E-visa for Tajikistan
Hi,
I am from India and planning to visit Panjakent through border crossing from Samarkand and back.
I had applied for Tajikistan e-visa on 11/25 and was asked for more docs to show proof of stay, I provided the necessary bookings and still haven't heard back from them.
I am starting on 12/25 and it is making me nervous whether i will hear back about the visa before that...
Is this common with Tajikistan e-visa and are there ways i can reach out/ensure that i get an e-visa?
