Hello Miguet
Yes, you can load your bikes on the roof of a shared taxi normally at no charge but please note that sometimes if other passengers have more luggage you will have to negotiate with the driver and they may ask for an extra payment. You need to box them for safe transportation. The situation is back to normal with few tourists already started arriving. Just to let you know that yesterday a group of tourist were turned back from Tajik-Kyrgyz border which remains closed. Rather than this, there are no other issues for travelling anywhere in the Pamirs.
cheers.

Re: Cycling Pamir Highway - August/September 2022
HiAny fellow cyclists in the region in August? Would love to meet in Tajikistan!
I'm thinking about it. I've travelled in the region 3 years ago and always wanted to go back with a bike. As my plan is to go from Dushanbe to Bichkek, it depends a lot on border issue.

Ideally I'd like to cycle from Dushanbe to Khorog and cross the border to Kyrgyzstan at Kyzyl Art. But if that border remains closed, I'm considering cycling a loop: Khorog, Wakhan valley, Karakul, Bartang Valley, Khorog and then a bus or car to Uzbekistan to continue in Kyrgyzstan.

I will be in Kazakhstan from August with my bike and plan to cycle as much of the pamir highway as restrictions will allow. Thank you for sharing this idea. This thread has been really helpful. Fingers crossed the kyzyl art pass will be opened.

I wonder why it is still closed? COVID is likely not the reason anymore. Tension between the two countries is another possibility... Anyone any idea ?
