Iskanderkul and onwards with suitcases

Post by larany »

I am planning on taking shared taxis to Iskanderkul, spending a few hours there, and then taking another shared taxi to Panjakent on the same day. The only issue is I’ll have luggage with me. Does anyone know if there’s anywhere to store bags near the lake?

Can you share you experience with a short trip to Iskanderkul. My plan is to stop in Iskanderkul on my trip back to Panjakent and maybe spent a night there and continue next days to Dushanbe.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. :)

A few days ago, we took a taxi (BYD Song Plus) from Dushanbe to Punjakent, with a 2-3-hour stop in Iskanderkul. It was a private taxi just for us. We had luggage in the trunk. The cost was quite high, 1,050 TJS. However, we wanted to save time and feel comfortable :). The owner of the SUGD hotel in Panjakent booked the taxi for us. I have the driver's direct number, but I don't know if it's allowed here, or if this would be considered an advertisement. ;)

Please feel free to post the drivers’ phone number if you wish to recommend him.
