Hello guys,
We had an upcoming trip planned in March for Mashhad -> Turkmenistan crossing -> Nukus but because of the Corona virus situation in Iran, we unfortunately have to cancel it. As a "Plan B", we will go for a road trip in Uzbekistan. We already have our Turkmen transit visa issued (entry point Iran Howdan and exit point Kounia Uzbekistan) in our passports so we are pretty frustrated to miss Turkmenistan. So the question is:
Is it doable to enter in TM from UZ at the border point Kounia which was supposed to be our exit point, travel around Turkmenistan 3/4 days and going out of Turkmenistan from the same point (Kounia) ? Somebody already experienced it ? What is the risk ?
Of course we are ready to pay some fines.
I've very sorry is this topic has already been discussed somewhere else !
Thank you so much for your help
Turkmenistan, in/out with an already issued Transit Visa
Re: Turkmenistan, in/out with an already issued Transit Visa
No tourists (including those with a transit visa!) will be admitted into Turkmenistan until the end of March. See viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12239
