Dual Passport Turkmenistan

Hi all,

We want to use our British passport in Uzbekistan and use our Australian for Iran but we are worried it will impact our chance of getting a transit Visa for Turkmenistan.

Has anyone used two passports in this area?

Any help would be great.

Present both passports at the Turkmen embassy so they see both visas, and tell them on which passport you wish to enter Turkmenistan.

That said, several embassies only want to see the visa of the country you're exiting to.

If the Türkmens ask you why you won't use the same passport, tell them the way it is: Brits Need no LOI for an Uzbek visa and Aussies don't Need to set up a guided tour for an Iranian visa (I can only assume that's the reason - please correct me if I'm wrong)

Many people from the Commonwealth have done it before, they should be used to it by now.
