Enter in Iran with alcohol

Hi,

I don't know if someone can answer this but I would like to buy 2 little bottles of cognac here in Kyrgyzstan. I might go later to Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan (if I can get a visa) and Iran. Would they let me in with alcohol in my bag? Specially in Iran? I know it's forbidden but as it's a souvenir from KG i thiught that maybe they could do an exception.

Thanks

I really don't see how that's gonna work, to be honest. Imagine if you bring a pack of heroin back to France from Afghanistan, as a souvenir. Same thing :-)

Hahaha you made my day!

But I should be ok for Tajikistan or even Uzbekistan, right?

Otherwise, can you send it by post?

Yes, there it's no problem. You can send it by post, as long as the postman does not drink it you will be fine. :D

I did learn because of your question that Armenians in Iran are allowed to brew their own alcohol, so if you can somehow pose as a convincing Armenian, you may have a chance...

I don't really look like an Armenian and I don't think I will find one to help me. I just gave up as I'm not sure about my plan.

Thanks anyway (and for your humour)
