Entering iran with 2 passports

Dear all,

I have a very specific question, i am a Belgian citizen with 2 Belgian passports and:

I entered armenia with passport 1, which has the entry stamp of armenia (and previous countries)

I plan to cross to iran overland with a bicycle at meghri. My iranian visa is in passport 2, which has no armenian entry stamp.

Question:
Should I take both passports to cross the border and show these instantly. OR show the one with armenian entry to the armenian customs and the one with iranian visa to the iranian customs, only showing the second one when they ask about where my stamp/visa is?

Also: is it too risky to send my passport with armenian entry stamp home with a friend? If I take a picture of the stamp page and explain the situation at the border maybe?

Reason for this is I arranged my iranian visa via brussels embassy while I was on route, travelling with me 2nd passport. .. will the border customs officers accept this?

Advice or experiences very welcome!

Should be fine to show the 2 passports at the Iranian border, I have traveled like that in the area, didn't have problems so far with it.

Just curious: why does Belgium issue two valid, concurrent passports?

Thx for the info! So you advise against sending the armenian entry passport home?

About the 2 passports: you need a written declaration with valid reasonbe for they will give it: for example denial of entry In armenia with Azerbeidzjan stamps... I use it to arrange Chinese 90+90 visa at home while I arrange Stan visa's in tehran on route
Some communities will be very persistsnt and not give it unless you get written permission of the mayor...

You cannot leave the country on a different passport than the one you entered on, so don't send home your passport that you used to enter the country. That is a problem. Says so in the link I posted above.
