afghan transit visa airport wait

Anyone aware if a transit visa is required for a 16 hour wait in Kabul airport?

it seems like afghan citizens need an airport transit visa for most shengen area states, so was wondering maybe if it was reciprocal.

For transit in Kabul transit visa is usually required as there is no transit area, so have to leave airport and come back in again.

Can confirm: Afghan airports have no transit Areas, similar to the US, Iraq and Moldova, among others.
