Pamir Highway May/June 2025

Hi there!

I am 25F from the UK and looking to travel through Central Asia in summer 2025. My partner (26M - also from the UK) will be joining me for two, possibly three, weeks at the end of May/beginning of June. He wants to join me in Tajikistan and do part of the Pamir Highway (potentially Dushanbe to Osh, or a loop of Tajikistan we aren't sure yet). Just reaching out to see if anyone else is planning on doing the same!! Ideally, we would hire a car or hop in with some people who have a car. But we are also open to getting a guide/driver.

We can both drive and would prefer the first option but are unsure how easy it is to hire cars and travel over borders etc. We are looking to do some hiking and visit some villages, and will probably be taking a tent too.

If anyone has any insight then please get in touch!

Hi! I’m a 27M from the UK looking at doing a very similar trip, except I will be turning off towards the Shir Khan border at Afghanista at the end of the highway. Also planning on arriving to Bishek around June time.
