My wife and I will be travelling to Central Asia in April 2022. We are looking at doing the Pamir highway, and wanted to know if any of you were interested in joining us?

Does that mean you only have April to play with?
It's a little early weather wise for me. Mid to late May would be earliest I could go; if only for the cold/snow on the high passes.
Have you looked at flights yet?
I used Turkish airlines from UK via Istanbul.
But that was into and out of Bishkek.
Flights to Dushanbe appear quite high now
Any thoughts?

We will have to do it in April as we have to be elsewhere in May. Totally understand your situation though - hope you find people to travel with.

We have found some flights to Bishkek (we're coming from Australia), but nothing booked yet.

In late November 2021, there was a protest in Khorog. Since then, the authority has cut off internet connection and phone service to GBAO. There are multiple police and military check points restricting travel in and out of the region. I can't contact my friends in Khorog since 26th November, so I'm not sure the exact situation there. So there is no guarantee tourists are allowed to enter GBAO anytime soon.

I was planning to visit my friends in Khorog and nearby villages in April 2022 also. But the plan becomes unclear.
