Pamir Osh-Khorug (-Osh/Dushanbe) 4th July: looking for one more traveller

Hi, we are three German backpackers (one female, two male, all aged 24) organizing ourselves a trip with a private driver. We are planning to stay a few nights before in Osh and then start our journey via Kyzyl Art Pass to Murghab. After two nights in Murghab for acclimatising, we want to continue our trip towards Khorug for around another 5-6 nights. As we will have a private driver (one for Osh-Murghab, one for Murghab-Khorog), we are totally flexible in what to do, what to see and where to sleep. We wanted to do some hikes, enjoy hot springs and do some detours. Whakan Corridor would be the most interesting for us, but we can decide that together regarding the conditions.

On our way back we wanted to go by shared taxi to Murghab, as we continue to China from there. But you can also easily go by shared taxi/public transport to Dushanbe or organize yourself a spot on a car back from Murghab to Osh. We try to do the trip as cheap as possible, so we are comparing offers right now. In the end we will split the costs. Looks like for transport it will be around 300-400$ per person.

Since we made our post we did some research on potential routes and destinations we could take. We created an itinary for Osh to Khorog. This is just an example and adaptations are likely.

Start 4th july in Osh - this is when our GBAO permit starts
Day 1: Osh to Murghab - we found a driver specially for that who could get us there for 100 $ each
Day 2: acclimatisation in Murghab
Day 3: start of the tour to Khorog with a driver. Currently we are collecting offers
Murghab - Bulunkul/Jaschikul lake - staying at a Guesthouse near the lake
Day 4: Bulunkul/Jaschikul lake - Khargush pass with a 3-4 hour panoramic hike. End the day in Langar in the Whakan valley
Day 5: potential hike into the valley of Mats Peak
Day 6: Engels peak meadows hike from Langar to the lake
Day 7: Bibi Fatma Hot springs and short hike at Vrang into the valley with a waterfall
Day 8: Hike at Darshai into the canyon
Day 9: Afghan Market - Garam Chashma Hot springs - Khorog

Again this is all just brainstorming on what we could do in those days and changes are likely. Happy to hear from you!

We are still searching for one person to join us
We found drivers who can drive us for a quite reasonable price, it will be more or less:
~100$ p.p. driver Osh-Murghab on 4th July
~165$ p.p. Murghab-Whakan-Khorog car, driver, fuel & drivers expenses (6-12 July)
~ 20-30$ p.p. for guesthouses with dinner and breakfast

I think it is not possible to do Pamir cheaper, so feel free to write us if you just want to join parts of it or continue after Khorog to Dushanbe or back to Murghab, that is no problem at all
