Tajikistan Visa Payment

Hello,
I am planning to enter Tajikistan and do the Pamir Highway soon-ish. Since I need eVisa and GBAO permit I applied for it online. The visa portal seems to have a payment issue though, since I cannot pay with any card (Visa, Mastercard...tried several different ones over the past 2 days). Anyone having the same problem or knows who to contact? Is this a regular bug that'll resolve itself quickly?

Tajikistan visa payment failed. How to repay if not getting payment option?

Hi, I was filling the visa application form from India and after I got payment option the card transaction failed. I went back and it stopped showing payment option.

I checker my visa status but it keeps showing me that my payment is in progress but I don't get repayment options.

nope, we are still trying to get it fixed, called and emailed every possible option at embassies etc but no replies there either (to be fair, it's weekend...)

I have the same issue. Been trying for a week now with different phones/cards.
My boyfriend did it 23/5 and didn’t have any issues.
I think all we can do is wait?

Yes, a lot of people seem to be facing this issue at the moment. One of my Korean friends tried and it didn’t work either.
I also tried with three different cards (Mastercard and Visa from two different banks), but had the same issue.

The Embassy of Tajikistan in Bishkek confirmed that payment is only possible online.

Workarounds are:
- Applying directly at a Tajikistan embassy.
- Entering under the visa waiver program (if you are eligible), and then either applying for the GBAO permit inside Tajikistan or online via some agencies.
- Continuing to try on the e-visa platform until it works.

Hi again, we went to the embassy in Bishkek today to apply for visa there. We were told they are working on the payment issue. They said it should work again in 1-2 days.
We used visa.gov.tj to fill in the form while at the embassy, they noted our application IDs and said we can probably come and pick up the visa (if approved) in 3-5 working days. GBAO permit will only be granted when the visa is approved, so we weren't able to apply for it so far.

My contact told me that payment is working now, and sure enough I was able to pay this morning (Visa, iPhone). I’ve heard android phones are still having problems though

I paid for the evisa and sent him a message 3 hours ago, and it’s been approved already! 3 hours feels like an insanely quick turnaround compared the horror stories I’ve read!

He charges $90 which is expensive, but it seems like a fast guaranteed approval, which is what I needed because of all the issues recently and having a UK passport. Didn’t need an itinerary or hotel bookings, he just supplied me with an evisa which I uploaded afterwards.
