Dear all,
Together with my husband are planning a trip from Dushanbe to Osh with departure from Dushanbe on 23 July and arrival in Osh on 29 (compulsory arrival in the morning as we will have to take a plane from Osh to Bishkek at 18,40 in the evening).
Any advice regarding the travel itself, border crossing (are borders ok and open?) but most important where to get the GBAO permit?
We red in the forum not to apply for GBAO permit at the moment we apply for VISA for Tajikistan because it would be authomatically rejected. Is this the case? And if yes, how do we then get a GBAO permit upon arrival? Is it issued immediately?

Unless there are huge changes in the coming month you will need to do a detour via Uzbekistan, as the Kyrgyz-Tajik border is closed.

And the situation in the Pamirs is very tense. Read the other discussions on this topic in the forum. Maybe plan a trip somewhere else this year.
