Letter of no objection Chinese visa Tehran
Hello fellow travellers,
I have read from several of you that you got a letter of no objection from your embassy to get a Chinese visa in Tehran, Iran. I have contacted my embassy (Netherlands) there to ask if they provide this service. The consular section said they never heard of this before and thought I was talking about a letter of no objection from my employer.
Can anyone that got one from their embassy tell me what this letter should say, or post an example of theirs (private info left out of course). This way I can ask my embassy to write one for me.
Thanks for the help

Hi SPR11,
It's funny, because there must have been millions of Dutch cyclists 'round there by now. I cannot help you with an example, but you can perhaps try another EU embassy. It works for the people who don't have an embassy in Iran. List of embassies with their LONO conditions: http://caravanistan.com/visa/letter-of- ... s-in-iran/

Re: Letter of no objection Chinese visa Tehran
Hi guys!
I had the same problem.
But later i received this email:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for your e-mail.
Kindly be informed that the Consular Department of the Embassy is responsible for Consular Services in Iran, such as issuance of Dutch passports and emergency travel documents, issuance of visas, legalization of documents and, if needed, provision of assistance to Dutch citizens in emergency cases. This section is not able to provide consular statements to Dutch tourists, regarding the application of visa for other countries.
However, if you are residing in Iran at this moment we are willing to make an exception.
If you want to make an appointment for MVV, Dutch travel documents, consular statements, legalizations please send an e-mail (in English) to [email protected] with :
1. requested consular service (MVV – Dutch passport – consular statement – legalization)
2. family name
3. given names
4. passport number
5. telephone number where you can be reached
Please send your e-mail only once.
For your information:
- If the requested information (number 1-5) is not complete, you will NOT receive an appointment date and time.
- The appointment date and time that you will receive can NOT be changed. Please mention preferred dates for your appointment in your e-mail message.
The fee regarding this statement is 30 EURO.
With kind regards,
Consular Department
Embassy of The Kingdom of The Netherlands
West Arghavan Street No.60, Dibaji North Street Farmanieh, Tehran, Iran
e-mail: [email protected]
http://iran.nlembassy.org/
So i've sent a request with prefered dates...
Later got an appointment with a note that this CAN NOT be changed, but on a date on wich I will not be in Tehran yet!
I will keep you updated on my experiences.
But like you said Steven, I wonder how all these other dutch cyclers have done it? :S

Re: Letter of no objection Chinese visa Tehran
Hi guys!
I've got it.
Actually quite smooth.
First went to the Dutch embassy. Was directly my turn. Than waited for 45 min, for them to make the letter. They were very kind and helpfull. The letter does not really say the exact words, but the Chinese embassy approved.
I typed my chinese applicationform myself in word. It changes the lay-out. They dont accept it.
You really need to use pdf. And print it out double-sided!
After 4 days i picked up my passport with a 2 entry visa valid 3 months, entries 60 days.
Hope you have no problems either!

Hello SPR11 and Roos,
I am Indonesian and I believe i will also try my luck to apply Chinese Visa in Tehran, can you please post an example of your no objections letter? So I can ask my embassy to make it for me if it's possible. A template for this letter would be fine.
Thanks for the helps.

Re: Letter of no objection Chinese visa Tehran
Hi all,
Apparently the Dutch embassy learned from all above. I got the required letter in 15 minutes or so for €30. No questions asked about it. I don't know the exact content, forgot to copy it, but it was nothing more than a statement confirming I was a Dutch citizen, than some personal data and a something stating the letter was written for the Tajik embassy.
