https://thediplomat.com/2018/02/uzbekis ... ols-again/As of February 1, simplified procedures for issuing tourist visas will be introduced for citizens of 39 countries, including those on the European Union, many in East Asia and the Middle East, as well as India and the United States. The simplified procedure reportedly removes the requirement for a voucher or letter of invitation and shortens the timeline for issuing a visa to two days.
Citizens of seven countries — Israel, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, and Japan — will be allowed 30 days visa-free travel in Uzbekistan, as of February 10.
Additionally, the promise of an electronic entry visa system, which had earlier been pushed back to 2021, was moved forward to July 2018.

Re: New Uzbekistan visa-free entry for 30 days from 01/04/2017
I’ve read everything I could find about getting an Uzbekistan visa in the US, including the February 2018 updates. Apparently, because I live in Michigan, I will apply to consulate in New York, and I have a few questions before I send my visa application off:
Has anyone had recent experience they can share with getting their visa from New York? I’ve emailed the consulate a few questions and never got a reply. This was not encouraging.
When I complete the evisa form does any of that information actually get sent/recorded at the consulate? Or does the visa form just print out a dummy copy (with barcode) that I mail off?
Although the visa process looks straight forward, I am considering paying the fee and using a passport/visas service that will hand deliver my application. My rationale: if there is an issue, I’ll have an agent there to work on behalf to check on my application? Does this service seem warranted or I am being overly cautious?

It's just a dummy copy that you mail off. 2015-2017 seemed to be very positive, but the latest report from January 2018 suggested it takes a long time.
I would get in touch with nt2 since he/she would be able to tell you more.

Re: New Uzbekistan visa-free entry for 30 days from 01/04/2017
Hello,
For summerholiday, I have bought a ticket to tashkent. From there I will go to Tadjikistan and then back to Uzbekistan.
I arrive 17th of July. My return flight is 16th of august at 2.30AM.
So I fly black at the 31th day.
Now I realise I just can get a (double entry) visa for maximum 30 days. And visa overstay is no issue.
What to do?
Because I fly at 2.30 AM, would it be possible to get the exit stamp before midnight, so at 15th of August?
Does anyone have experience at the airport of Tashkent? Is it easy to get the exit stamp a couple of hours before your flight is leaving?
Hope to hear from you.
I am also open for any other options.
Thanks in advance.

With my 7 years of experience, I am expecting this news to fall into my inbox on July 2nd. There will be initial confusion, but by August we should have figured out how it works.svenneg wrote:HI

I now read quite a lot about Usbekistan Visa, but I'm not sure if I understood correctly.
I am Swiss and therefore I don't need a letter of invitation. I filled in this form: http://evisa.mfa.uz/evisa_en/. As fare as I understand I have to print it out twice, make to passport pictures and show up at the embassy in Teheran with some dollars in my pocket and there I should get the visa the very same day. Could somebody please confirm? What makes me insecure is, that I didn't had to send the filled in form to someone... Its seems to be just for me right now...

That is correct. You fill it in, print it out, and hand it over to the consul at the embassy. At that point it is no longer just for you, it is also for the Uzbek consul. It is just the same as filling in a form inside the embassy, only that you fill it in at home.
Alternatively, use the e-visa.
