My eVisa was stuck in "waiting for confirmation" for 2 weeks.

On Friday, I went to the embassy in Tashkent and they didn't even commented on this. Asked for 180€ to receive the visa on the spot (50%) or 120€ to receive in one week.

I only had to fill in a form including an address and phone number, I put a hostel in I would stay in Tehran. They asked why I was going and I explained I was travelling overland from China.

I am a New Zealand passport holder.

It's illegal to be without passport in Uzbekistan and was immediately bothered by the police outside but a photocopy of photo page and visa sufficed

After the weekend my status has already changed to 'issued'. So I guess one week waiting period is just revenue gathering.

I went to the embassy one working day later and managed to convince them to give me my passport and visa back early for no extra cost.
Although it possibly helped that it was independence day

30 days in country with 90 days to enter

Hi all. We just applied/payed for our visas at the consulate in Almaty (Australian passports, codes from key2persia). Everything was easy enough but the visa officer said that we will receive the visa via email, not in our passports. I asked if we could come back and get them put in when we get the email and he said "no. Show it at the border". Is this foolproof? We're going to apply for the Turkmenistan transit visa here as well, do they accept the Iran email? It seems the whole E visa system is more complicated than the old fashioned way.
Thanks in advance.

Iran is no longer putting a sticker in your passport since... I don't know, a while probably.
The evisa is a separate piece of paper yes (print it!)
Got it in Dushanbe (key2persia too) and apply for the turkmen transit visa here without problems.

Just be sure to get it by email before to leave Almaty.

Has anyone had any success with extending these evisa?
They look a little flimsy.

We started the e-visa process last week to get our visas at the Embassy in Dushanbe and both our requests have been rejected saying that we should apply with an agency. The email ended up in our spams.

Applied 2 weeks ago (Aus and NZ passports) and both are still ‘waiting for verification’. How long should I wait until resign all hope and accept that it’s stuck in limbo ?

Guys, when you got your E-Visa and went for the local consulate to hand in your passport (whilst travelling, outside your home country), did they check/copy your visa for the current country?

This can be an issue for any dual / 2nd passport holder.

Thanks for quick info, highly appreciated.

Hi, I applied for my Iran visa through MFA website and after 2 weeks of waiting for confirmation my Iran visa got rejected without any reason, one of my friends told me to apply again through an agency which name is 1stQuest, so I applied through their website, they told me to cancel my Iran visa application on MFA, Then I applied through their website and got my Iran visa in 2 days.
