As a response to Trump's ban on Iranians entering the US, Iran has now banned Americans from entering Iran.

Timatic already states that US citizens WILL be refused entry, so no airline is supposed to board anyone presenting a US passport, even if they hold an Iranian visa

Interestingly, though, I read this tweet by Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif

Unlike the U.S., our decision is not retroactive. All with valid Iranian visa will be gladly welcomed.
