Embassy report: Turkmen transit visa in London

Hi all,

I am going to apply for a TM transit visa in London in a few weeks time. Already was on the phone with them twice and didn't sound very promising..
Also, does anybody know how long does it usually take to get it in London? Cause if its longer than 2 weeks, I will have to collect it from somewhere else. Any suggestions on which is the better place for collection - I can pick it in either Istanbul, Tbilisi or Baku.

Reasonable, but you're likely to get refused (they're refusing Transit visas en masse as we speak). Apply NOW and be warned

I will apply in a week or two - I'm still waiting for the Azeri visa (it takes 3 weeks processing time in London.... )*

*Last time I got it in Sofia for 4-5 working days!!

I should have.. anyway I got it today. And I will be sending my documents to the Uzbek embassy tomorrow morning.

By the way, I got my Uzbek LOI with some sample names of hotels for each city I will be visiting. However, I am not sure whether I should use the same hotel names in the application form or should I name hotels where I will actually be staying at(I haven't decided where yet)?

Doesnt matter what you fill in on the loi form regarding hotels

UPDATE:
I applied 4 weeks ago and still haven't got my visa! I called the Turkmen embassy a few days ago to ask if there's any progress, they checked and said there's nothing yet. They told me I will be emailed/phoned once the LOI is ready. Has anybody waited this long for a transit visa?
