Hello,

I am a German cyclist, I am allowed to enter Mongolia for 30 days without visa.
Is there any possibility to get an extension while in the country?
If not does anyone knows the fine I might have to pay while staying longer than 30 days???

Thanks for any help,
Cheers Heike

Hi Heike,

that's an interesting question. The visa-free rule for Germans is quite new, so I have no idea. If you find out please let us know, I am also very interested!

Yes. You will get an extension of a maximum of 30 days from the immigration office near the airport. This will cost you $2 per day. You must write a letter stating your reason for the extension. They will accept almost any reason.
