Re: Iran Visa with Jordan-Israel border Stamp

Post by isac »

I little update on my side.
I got in touch with both the Italian embassy in Iran and key2persia agency.
They both confirm me that the stamp is not a problem.
On the other hand the embassy told me that taking a flight is the safest option to avoid problem instead of going by land (my plan is to cross from Armenia) since border guard at the airport are more used to deal with tourists. but the girl at key2persia said that if I go trought the border with public transport (she mention the bus from Yerevan to tabriz) is no problem as well.
So I will consider in the next days if flying or go by land. Anyway, going by flight look like a safe option.

Hope it helps.

Nice! I'm getting my hopes up again. Do you guys think it would be ok to try and get a visa on arrival?
I'm currently in Tblisi, and if I'm going to Iran I have to be there on 1-2 of November.

What is the best option for me?
Visa on Arrival? Or should I go to the Embassy?
I'm flying there so I feel that there's no need to go through all that Process

Thanks!

The guys at the armenian-iranian border seemed to be used to foreigners and didn't browse my passport at all. This is no absolute safety, but I would say if you have the visa then you should be able enter.

There is a possibility of getting rejected on visa on arrival. So if you want to be safe, go to the embassy. It's a matter of two mornings.

Any update on how it went for the visa?

Thanks also for the update on the Armenian border. Just a question. You also had an Israel stamp?

Now I am considering also crossing by land.

Hello,
I come back to this forum with sad news.
I went this morning to the embassy in Tbilisi after key2persia confirmed that visiting is not a problem even after the sanctions.
Unfortunately the consular staff told me something different. They browse trought my passport and saw the stamp, and said that it was a problem. They were very friendly and, after I insisted that I was told something different, they made few calls to double check. But at the end they told me "I am very sorry, but this is a problem. You need a new passport".

So, no Iran for me this time.
I tried to understand if the recent sanctions were the problem, but the guy didn't spoke enough English to explain me the reason.

I would love to hear the experience of Pedro on this.

I will talk later with key2persia and see what they say.
Best
