Tajikistan consulate in Istanbul has moved

Post by julesmimi »

Hi, fantastic site, loads of useful info to help us negotiate the visa minefield!

The Tajik consulate has recently moved to the following address:

Konlaki Sokak no. 43/1, Senlikkoy Mahallesi, Florya
Coords: 40.968323,28.802032
phone 0531 378 3961

To get there, best is probably taking the bus BM1 or similar from Sirkeci or Yenikapi, then getting off at Istanbul Akvaryum and walking. There are local minibuses that connect with the Metrobus (Besyol) and go past the front door, but unless you speak Turkish you'll have to keep a sharp eye out for street name signs and jump off at the right moment.

They asked for $50 for an express service visa (same day I think unless you turn up late like we did) or $25 for a 2-3 day service. They also said that it wasn't possible to get the GBAO permit at the embassy any more, and that you have to apply in Dushanbe.
