Chinese visa extension report: Leshan

I am out of the PSB of Leshan where they are very nice and efficient.
Ready the next day. No problem if you come the day before your visa expires.
Avoid Songpan where the man does not want to accept any application. It was supposed to be a good place as well before.
Asking if a second was possible, she answered that she can not give mord that what you received originally.

Update on 17 December 2014 as regards Leshan ( Sichuan province)
Here it takes two-three days to do the renewal (I had a new visa issued in Hong Kong, so this is a first extension, too). The problem is the accommodation in the town, I could not find a hostel. I could bargain in a hotel a single room from 130 to 100, not less. Anyway, I applied on Monday 9am and could collect on Wednesdays 4pm. The office is inside the Government Affairs Service Center in front of Xing Bang hotel. For information my Chinese visa was issued in Hong Kong. 30 days visa, 30 days extension. Two days gained, the extension started from the expiring date of the previous visa, not from the date of application. One photo needed. Hotel receipt needed. Besides the usual form, I was asked to fill a form with my destinations, but they do not pay too much attention to it. Cost 160 rmb

I did not try to get the second extension in both cases. Sorry for the English.

Chinese Visa extension in Leshan now takes 1 day and costs 160rmb. The officials say that u can pick up your visa the fowlling day between 3 and 4pm. I went there at 1:30pm and already got it. Need a hotel booking, passport photo, a copy of passport main page and a copy of the chinese Visa. The 30-day extension starts when your first visa expires.

I can confirm this. I traveller I met did it in April 2018 in 1 day. The 30d of the new visa were appended to the existing visa.

Still ok-> 1 day. 160rmb. I applied on a morning, the visa extension was ready at 11am the next day.
I have a single entry 30 days visa. They gave me 30 more days starting at the end of the validity of my first visa. ( Actually even 31 they made a mistake.)
The entry and exit administration office is at the second floor on the left of the public security bureau.
They ask you to stay in a hotel in leshan the night after the registration.
Document needed :
*registration slip or a bill from your hotel in leshan.(so you need to check-in before you go to psb)
*1 photos with white background. You can do it at the first floor.
*Copy of your passport first page, visa and entry stamp. First floor too.
*A detailed itinerary with cities and hotel.
It takes an hour to apply, they don't keep your passport.

Is it pretty straight forward to get the photos and copies of the passport done in the building?

Also, regarding the itinerary do they give you a form to fill in?

Nothing more to Say than acmo's post.
Still working on july 2019. Photo and photocopies are done in PSB for free, just bring passeport, hotel registration, and exact amount of cash ! They will ask your for an itinirerary but don't really check.

Do you have any info about extending a double entrance visa..?! In particular the first one of the entrances, without the possibility to use the second one.. thx

Visa extension still possible in Leshan

- it took 4 working days, Monday morning to Thursday afternoon
- no physical hotel registration paper necessary, it seems to be the hotels need to register guests online now. And on the day we came to retrieve the visa, they also wanted to know, where we slept the last night, apparently they need to put that into the system too, before handing out the visa. So it's important to make sure that your hotel has a license to accommodate foreigners and that you have a booking until the day you get your visa
- on application, a form was given to us, where we needed to fill in our itinerary
- they kept our passports
- photos are done digitally in a machine on the same floor
- payment should be via Wechat or Alipay, but they can help you out, if you don't have it

- Does the extension start from the day that you applied or from the day that your visa expires?
